So it’s the month of Halloween and Samhain, a time that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter and a time when the veils between the worlds are at their thinnest. It is also a celebration of death… which sounds pretty morbid but is in fact deeper than face value. Of course the 31st is a good time to remember those that have passed (and the many other attributes of the festival), but it is also a wonderful time to reflect on letting go of what doesn’t serve us any more and welcoming in the new.

Over the past 12 months, is there something that you have been holding on to? Is there something that has been holding you back? Now is an opportunity to take note of what you need to let go of and to welcome in the new beginnings that will follow.

Perhaps it’s a client that doesn’t fit with you anymore or a change in direction for your business? Moving on from a friendship that holds you back from achieving your goals or leaving your job to go full time in your own business? Now is a great time to welcome in the new and the good things to come.

ACTION: Take 30-60 mins to write down any things that you feel are not working for you any more and then another list of new things that you would like to incorporate into your life. Then decide what you’re ready to let go of now and what you’re ready to start. Use the 31st as a great opportunity to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new. Perhaps even put a list of all the things you’re saying goodbye to on a bonfire on Halloween night to cement your intention?

As always I’d love to hear your experiences and thoughts on this so please join in the conversation below…
