Good morning!

Day 2 and I have to say it’s a strange feeling waking up today because I don’t know how I feel about everything. I can’t quite put my finger on the sensation and perhaps that’s because this is all so new.

I’ve done product launches before and I’ve had ‘deadlines’ yet this feels different somehow.

Maybe it’s because it’s so public, there’s an extra pressure to really go ‘all out’ and make it amazing?

What I can tell you is that I went to bed a happy girl, having achieved 10% of my funding goal in the first 22 hours of the Kickstarter being live.

Pretty good achievement I’d say… but how long do you think it took before the doubts kicked in that I wouldn’t be able to do it? Oh, only a few hours in! LOL What is that naughty little Monkey Mind like ey!?

So the feelings over the last 12 hours or so have been something like this:

My positive, happy-go-lucky mind is cheerleading me on and totally believes we’re going to SMASH through the £10k target and reach on up into 5, if not 6 figures.

My doubting Thomas mind is saying things like

“Your friends can only support you ‘so’ much and the rest is down to you, once you’ve exhausted your list and your friends then what are you going to do?”

or

“10% on Day 1, is that all? Seriously girl, you need to up your game! You need to be aiming for 25% per day to achieve what you want to. Do you really think you have it in you to do it? Really!?”

(what can I say, I’m a Virgo with a reputation for holding myself to pretty high standards!)

Obviously I try to put those doubting thoughts out of my mind, but every now and then they creep in! I bet you know what I’m talking about – we all have that cheeky, negative Monkey Mind squawking away in our heads.

They key though is not paying too much attention to it – don’t feed the animals! 😉

So, how am I keeping positive?

Reading the amazingly lovely posts that people are writing for starters – things like this:

“I have just made my pledge to help the very talented Sophie Jewry. I purchased a planner for this year and I honestly don’t know how I lived without one before. Sophie Jewry – The Queen of Brand puts so much thought and effort into everything she does and I can not wait to get my new planner.” Paula Bailey

“Sophie Jewry’s Ultimate Diary Planner was one of the most useful things I never knew I needed! I’ve seen the proofs, can’t wait to have a look through the new finalised ‘M’ Notebook. The perfect place for covert 007 espionage notes 😀 or just everyday planning.” Sally May

“If you are a woman in business, who loves a beautiful notebook, and needs to keep on top of plans and goals….looky looky at this gorgeous creation! I’m already using Sophie Jewry’s Ultimate Diary Planner, which is fab, so I can’t wait to get my mitts on one of these.” Nicola Goodchild

“Superb product/ project by Sophie Jewry has made me actually back my first ever kickstarter campaign… Can’t wait now!” Victor Ling

“Designed and put together by possibly one of the most organised and inspiring ladies I know this beaut of a notebook is certainly on my Wish List. Sophie Jewry is the designer of this super slick must have diary and as a Holistic Journal ambassador we will certainly be pledging and helping her “kickstarter campaign” . Whether you are looking for a suitable journal to get down all your hopes and dreams or just need a place to keep a reminder on all your favourite recipes and check in with your health goals we are giving the Minerva M a big thumbs up!” Ruby Paterson, Holistic Journal

Speaking to my cheerleading, supporting, lovely, wonderful friends, who are all behind me 100% and being incredibly generous with their energy in supporting this with me. I feel like we’re on the adventure together – I’m not on my own.

Giving myself a firm talking to and reminding myself constantly to focus on the positives.

Looking at the numbers. Watching those pledge numbers and the cash figure going up speaks for itself. Every pledge is someone believing in me and what I’ve created – it’s my duty to deliver for them.

Plus I know that my notebook really can make a positive impact on peoples lives so I have to remind myself of that. I’m not trying to get money off people, I’m trying to share with them something beautiful that will help them manifest their goals and dreams for their business and life. And that is a good thing.

Before I end this I guess I ought to give you some marketing/business nuggest too and an insight into what’s happening in the nitty gritty side of things, so here you go:

My plan is to do the following daily:

  • Write a blog post
  • Do a Facebook live video update
  • Record a Podcast based on the blog post content
  • Share a pre-recorded video
  • Post in Facebook Groups and share a mixture of promotional posts, quotes and useful tips on all my other social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn)
  • Try to keep on top of thanking everyone that helps me get the message out

On the side of that I’m also booking in lots of networking events over the next 4 weeks so that I can show the notebook off ‘in the flesh’ and reach more people.

I’m also very conscious of my own self care so I’m sticking with getting up at 7am (earlier some days) to do my daily exercises and walk the dogs before knuckling down and really focusing on priority jobs – not least because I’m also running my design and print business alongside this and we’re really busy!

I’m also looking at a ton of other stuff – more on that later.

So, that’s where I’m at folks. I start today feeling ready to rock another day, slightly daunted at the prospect of being on the top of my game EVERY day for the next 28 days to see this through but ready to hurl myself at it with all the energy and enthusiasm I can – lucky job I LOVE this notebook!

Love, Sophie
